a stone wall & a tree

design + site supervision:

Frini Yannopoulou

The concept for this house was to design a new building around an old stone wall and a tree, ‘found’ on the plot.

With magnificent, unobstructed views to Finikas bay, the house sits calmly on the land echoing chromatically the serene Cycladic landscape.

The stone wall ‘pierces’ through the building's volume and divides private and shared spaces, providing a dramatic backdrop internally and externally.

The house is 120 sq.m. big, arranged in two levels and it provides three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a spacious full height living area with large patio doors, framing the view to the deep blue Mediterranean sea.
